The Hatch and Konkle Family
Dr. Hyrum G. Hatch D.D.S.
Dr. Hyrum (Greg) Hatch was born in Pomona, California where his father practiced dentistry. He lived there until the age of 8 when his family moved to Tempe, Arizona. Dr. Hatch studied at Brigham Young University and then moved back to California were he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He is a skilled clinician and lecturer with over 24 years experience.
Dr. Hatch is a part-time faculty member in the Department of Anesthesia and Medicine at the U.S.C. School of Dentistry and has taught there for more than 24 years. Dr. Hatch is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arizona State Dental Association, and The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Hatch serves on the Board of the Flying Samaritans, and is the project coordinator for the Academy of LDS Dentists San Marcos Dental School project in Lima, Peru. Dr. Hatch spends 20 days or more each year teaching and practicing dentistry in 3rd world countries. He enjoys spending time traveling with his wife, four children, and his new grandson. He especially enjoys the outdoors, and has participated in multiple marathons, triathlons, and extreme hiking, including rim to rim at the Grand Canyon and summiting Kilimanjaro.
Dr. Mason B. Konkle D.D.S.
Dr. Mason B. Konkle was born and raised in Austin, Texas. After graduating from LBJ Science Academy in Austin, he moved to Provo, Utah where he received his engineering degree from Brigham Young University. During his time there he decided that he was more interested in teeth than engineering and switched careers completely. He met and married his wife, Dr. Jennifer H. Konkle while they were both in college. They moved to San Antonio where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry. During his senior year he was the recipient of the prestigious James P. Vernetti Award for excellence in restorative dentistry. In his free time Dr. Konkle enjoys photography, traveling, hiking, and spending time with his wife and new baby boy.
Dr. Jennifer H. Konkle D.D.S.
Dr. Jennifer H. Konkle was born in Los Angeles, California where her father, Dr. Hatch, completed dental school. They moved soon after to Arizona when her father began practicing dentistry. Dr. Konkle graduated from Chandler High School and moved to Provo, Utah where she studied Nutritional Science at Brigham Young University. She met her husband, Dr. Mason B. Konkle there while preparing for dental school. They moved to San Antonio where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) at the University of Texas Health Science Center. She also received several prestigious awards including the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award, the Comprhensive Dentistry Award, and the Clinical Performance Award. Dr. Konkle enjoys cooking, traveling, decorating, spending time with her husband and taking care of her new baby boy.
